Meadowlark, Meadowlark, what do you see?
I'm working on a small commission of a Western Meadowlark today. There is a pair who nest in my goat pasture every year. Their nest is usually under a tuft of loose grass, barely hidden. In the past, if I can find it, I put a
wire barrier around it so I don't step on it and the dogs can't get to it. The parents don't seem to mind as they continue to do their thing. Their song is one of the sounds of summer for me.
