To have a Kingfisher nest on your property is a real gift.  I had one nest in the gulley behind the house.  This little bird was like clockwork in the evenings.  It would come in and land on the same branch, call out for a time, and then sneakily head to where the nest was...making it's call quieter and quieter as it went only a little ways, making one believe that it had flown away.
